Tapps Island is located on the east side of Lake Tapps. It is an island community comprised of five islands. Four of the islands are developed with waterfront, golfcourse and inland homes. The fifth island is undeveloped. Enjoyed by local baseball and soccer leagues, walkers and joggers, black berry pickers and nature lovers, the fifth island is big part of the Tapps Island lifestyle. Each island is connected by vehicle bridges and walking bridges over channels of water.
Tapps Island residents enjoy private waterfront parks with boat launches, docks, swimming areas, pickle-ball courts, tennis courts, swimming pool, athletic room and much more.
The public can enjoy Tapps Island’s beautiful golf course with amazing lake and Mt. Rainier views as well as the clubhouse and Lakeside Grill restaurant.
Tapps Island is in the Dieringer School District. All residents belong to the Tapps Island Home Owner Association.
